Powder'tocotrienol oil, a rare form vitamin E, rich in antioxidants and potentially beneficial to cardiovascular health and reducing inflammation.
50 gram bottle
The powder'tocotrienol oil is a concentrated source of tocotrienols, a less common type of natural vitamin E. These compounds are particularly rare in nature, at low concentrations in palm oil, rice sound oil, barley oil, wheat germ and oats.
THE'palm oil is the most concentrated natural source of tocotrienols, but a significant amount should be consumed every day to reach suggested levels for beneficial health effects.
Here are some benefits of tocotrienols, supported by scientific evidence.
Tocotrienols are recognized for their powerful antioxidant properties, superior to those of tocopherols, another form of vitamin E. Thanks to their unique structure, tocotrienols can more easily penetrate the layers of fat saturated tissue, allowing them to effectively neutralize free radicals and prevent oxidative stress. This has been demonstrated in studies that show that tocotrienols have a better distribution in the phospholipidic bicouche of the plasma membrane, which makes them more effective against oxidative cell damage (Springer Link).
Research has shown that tocotrienols may have anti-cancer effects. Their ability to cross cell membranes saturated in fat more easily than tocopherols promotes their accumulation in cells at higher concentrations, thus improving their potential for cancer prevention. A study published in Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry demonstrated the effectiveness of tocotrienols in inhibiting cancer cell growth (ScienceDirect).
Tocotrienols have been associated with benefits for cardiovascular health, including through reduction of LDL cholesterol levels (the "bad" cholesterol) and the prevention of lipid oxidation, a key factor in the development of cardiovascular diseases. Studies have revealed that tocotrienol supplementation can decrease oxidative stress markers in the blood, thus contributing to better cardiovascular health (Wiley Online Library).
Tocotrienols are also known for strengthen the immune system protecting immune cells from oxidative damage and improving their function. This capacity to strengthen the immune response is crucial for disease prevention and the improvement of the overall body resistance (National Center for Biotechnology Information).
